Energy Armor Compensation System
EM Armor Compensation Capacitor Emission Systems 5% reduced capacitor need of energy emission weapons per skill level. Capacitor Management 5% bonus to capacitor capacity per skill level.
What are X armor compensation skills?
The four 'X Armor Compensation' skills: EM Armor Compensation, Explosive Armor Compensation, Kinetic Armor Compensation and Thermal Armor Compensation . Each of these increases the armor resistance bonuses of passive armor hardeners by 5% per level.
Do armor compensation skills affect EANM & ANP?
Both, ANP and EANM are affected by the armor compensation skills. Unlike the shield compensation skills which only affect passive hardeners and are pretty useless, the armor compensation skills are quite useful.
Is there a Omni-resist armor hardener module?
Since there is no omni-resist active armor hardener module (an armor equivalent to the Multispectrum Shield Hardener), the passive omni-resist modules Multispectrum Coating and Multispectrum Energized Membrane see a lot of use in armor buffer and armor RR fits, and these benefit from the armor compensation skills.
Should I overheat a loaded ancillary armor repairer?
Overheating a loaded Ancillary Armor Repairer is especially advisable, due to its limited number of activation cycles. Layered Coatings are passive modules that increase a ship's armor by a percentage amount, including bonus armor added by Armor Plates. Also, unlike Armor Plates, they do not increase ship mass.
How do armor repairers work?
Armor repairers are modules that consume moderate amount of capacitor and use that to repair the ship's armor. The capacitor is consumed at the beginning of the cycle but the repair happens at the end of the cycle. Ancillary armor repairers ("Ancils") can consume Nanite Repair Paste to fix armor quickly in short bursts.
How do ancillary armor repairers work?
Ancillary armor repairers ("Ancils") can consume Nanite Repair Paste to fix armor quickly in short bursts. A loaded Ancil fixes ~1.7x the armor of a comparable T2 armor repairer for the first eight repair cycles. A depleted Ancil repairs much slower, at ~0.6x repair yield.
